In a world where it is so easy to hyper-focus on the "negative knickers" of things happening, this list is so simple, so pure, and deeply profound. The tiny moments of nurturing that happen everywhere all the time.
It inspired me to go cut sunflowers from my front yard and display them on my table to make my husband smile (and so we can gather the seeds for next year's planting before the birds eat them all).
Thank you. I needed this today. I've had some moments today where I've gotten all negative in my knickers. The reminders like this are vital to keeping the vibe where it functions best.
I hear you about becoming negative in our knickers (great saying, by the way). Gratitude helps protect us against the mind's negativity, at least when I remember. I feel like my friends here and elsewhere are there to remind me of what I've forgotten.

This reminds me of The Power of Moments, by Chip & Dan Heath. Think outside yourself. Care & invest in a moment for someone else. And recognize receiving those moments. They stick with us.
I know of those authors, but I have yet to read their books. A friend liked Made to Stick. I remember when people took a moment to contribute to my life. The offerings are small, but they leave a significant impression. It reminds me of Maya Angelou's famous quote: "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Thanks, Mike. Thank you Ryan. Every now and again I make a gratitude list. Perhaps there are 10 items, and they're usually simple things that I possess or I've done, perhaps things I now have back in my life. But this is what is inspiring about yours: it looks outward and across. We aren't just ourselves; we are many. We are a community. So my next list will contain the things I have noticed that others do for others too.
